Finding Agencies

The Arkansas Foodbank does not distribute food directly to individuals. Food is distributed from our warehouse to member agencies that distribute food baskets and meals to those in need. To find a member agency that can help you, use our Agency Locator to bring up a map with available food centers in your area. Go to Find An Agency for a complete list of participating agencies that can help you. Below are a few examples of centers that serve central and southern Arkansans.

Soup Kitchens

Soup kitchens prepare meals, often in church rec halls or community spaces, and feed the hungry and homeless. The Foodbank is a major source of food for soup kitchens.

Food Pantries

Food pantries get food from the Foodbank and distribute it to people struggling to feed themselves.  They are typically open one day a week or once or twice a month. Staffed by volunteers, they provide an important link in the network that helps feed hungry Arkansans.

Food Programs

The Backpack program and the after-school Kids Cafe program at Boys & Girls Clubs help improve nutrition for hungry children who need good food to learn and grow.
