“Stamp Out Hunger”

May 14, 2016

Every year on the second Saturday in May, the nation comes together for the largest one day food drive: Stamp Out Hunger.

The concept of the drive is simple: leave non-perishable food donations at your mailbox—and the National Association of Letter Carriers takes care of the rest. Food collected from the drive in Pulaski County will help benefit the Arkansas Foodbank. This food drive occurs during an important time of the year when most school programs are about to close for the summer, leaving millions of children to find alternative sources of nutrition.

What Can You Do To Help?

  1. Place bags filled with nonperishable food items next to your mailbox.
  2. Your letter carrier will pick them up and deliver them to the Arkansas Foodbank

There is simply no easier way to help the community than to contribute nonperishable food items through the Letter Carriers Food Drive on Saturday, May 14, 2016.
